Alliance Shippers Inc. Earns Carrier of the Year Honor
Englewood Cliffs, NJ — Alliance Shippers Inc., a leading provider of global logistics services, is pleased to announce that it has been named the 2017 Dry Van/Intermodal Carrier of the Year by Ingredion Inc.
Throughout the year, the ingredients solutions company maintained a monthly review for all of its U.S. Van/Intermodal carrier partners and evaluated them using a weighted performance scorecard that included the following categories:
• Primary tender acceptance
• Trailer rejection rate
• Secondary tender acceptance
• On-time to pick up appointment
• On-time to delivery appointment
• On-time to requested delivery date
• Tender rejections after accept and expirations
• Average time to close load
• Logistics planner rankings
Alliance Shippers Inc. earned the highest scorecard rating “primarily by maintaining an excellent level of primary tender acceptance throughout the year,” noted Crystal Snow Anderson, Ingredion’s strategic truck sourcing manager.
On its way to winning the Carrier of the Year award, Alliance Shippers Inc. also ranked number one in secondary tender acceptance and had the lowest percentage of service failures among a group of nine other contenders.
“Alliance Shippers Inc. demonstrated a high level of performance that was evident through exceptional metrics results and outstanding direct feedback from the Logistics Planning Team,” Anderson added.
“Those metrics highlighted a number of our company’s unique strengths and capabilities, such as a commitment to capacity,” pointed out Steven M. Golich, Executive Vice President & COO of Alliance Shippers Inc.
Communicating about the feedback received along the way also offered up new opportunities for process improvement, like enhancing drayage service in order to better meet the needs of Ingredion.
“This experience has not only strengthened a valued partnership with Ingredion that spans nearly 40 years,” Golich added, “but has also led to fresh insight that could help benefit our entire customer base.”
