Quality Assurance Carrier Maintenance Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Monday through Friday, 8 hours daily. Attention to detail a must. The ability to maintain an orderly and well organized data/work area and College degree or evidence of completion of college courses required.

Position Description:

ACC (Spot Market) Carrier Set Up Process:

  1. Broker reviews carrier to ensure they meet our requirements.
    1. If the carrier meets our requirements without additional approval,
      1. Broker sends the CSA link to the carrier (Doug informed us that the broker would be able to send the email showing as coming from Carrier Maintenance)
      2. Carrier Maintenance completes the carrier set up.

a)      Handles any carrier questions (CMT will be the point person based on the email from the broker showing “as” Carrier Maintenance)

b)     If there are any set up issues with the contract or documentation portion that cannot be resolved, contact broker

c)      If there are any issues with the insurance, contact the broker within 30 min of the notification of carrier submission

  1. If the carrier meets our requirements, but needs additional approval:
    1. Broker to provide the required information to manager for approval BEFORE sending CSA link for activation.

a)      Once the manager approves, send the CSA link to the carrier (email to show coming from Carrier Maintenance).

b)     If the manager doesn’t approve, broker cannot proceed.

  1. Carrier maintenance will handle the rest of the set up.

a)      Carrier Maintenance will handle any carrier questions (as the email to show as its coming from Carrier Maintenance)

b)     If there are any set up issues with the contract or documentation portion that cannot be resolved, contact broker

c)      If there are any issues with the insurance, contact the broker within 30 min of the notification of carrier submission

  1. If carrier doesn’t meet our requirements, then the ACC broker cannot proceed.

Other QA-CM Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing new carrier packets and inputting the required information into the computer to establish a vendor code (Megatrans and Loxias)
  • Responsible for carrier insurance updates in Megatrans/Loxias systems
  • Handle weekly carrier insurance reports by requesting updated certificates of insurance from our carriers whose insurance has lapsed
  • Handle weekly reports to ASI offices listing carriers to be inactivated for that week, and inactivating those carriers at weeks’ end.
  • Handles Carrier 411 reports which generates 2-3 times a week, review information verified, Megatrans/Loxias updated.
  • Scanning carrier packets, insurance, address changes, etc.

Note: This Corporate position provides the services described in the Position Description for all Alliance Shippers Inc. locations.

  • Print invoices from tracking website
  • Check the terminal and or warehouse to confirm Customs releases
  • Attach documents in Tracking Portal
  • Auditing files and other clerical duties

Intermodal Business Manager

The Role:

The Intermodal Business Manager's role is a traditional Intermodal frontline operations position established to manage our customer’s intermodal freight.  The roles works within a team based environment, and manages traffic movements from origin through delivery.  This will require the Business Manager to gain a complete understanding of our customer’s processes, requirements, and business demands.  To accomplish this the Business Manager will need to establish business relationships and communicate business requirements to rail and drayage vendors.  The role measures, manages, and assures complete fulfillment of the customer’s needs. 

The Details:

  • Process orders in Alliance’s operating system
  • Build working relationships with Rail, Drayage, and customers in order to service customer’s requirements.
  • Manage our customers business to ensure compliance with their requirements
  • Update daily the Alliance operating system with current shipment data.
  • Ensure that timely execution of pickup and delivery functions takes place on each customer order.
  • Resolve and communicate to the customer any problems or issues with that customer's shipments
  • Communicate to proper Alliance management any issues that are outside the SPO’s established by Alliance Shippers Inc.

Pricing Analyst – Intermodal Business Development Group:  To provide customer pricing for shipments to maximize profitability within the objectives of the company.  This will be accomplished by understanding the customer requirements, developing relationships, and negotiating with carriers, as well as using various tools and reading publications to understand Intermodal capacity, markets, and fluctuations.

The receptionist will be responsible for the front desk functions, greeting visitor, answering incoming calls and transferring the caller to correct extension, sorting mail, scanning documents, and processing payables.

Highway Account Manager

The Role

The Account Manager position is the front line customer service contact for all highway customers.  This role is responsible for establishing a rapport with customer contacts and developing each account to their full potential. You are also the point of contact for Alliance’s the sales team as it pertains to current highway business, and possible new business opportunities and development. In addition the role is responsible for the leadership of a small team of associates focused on providing industry leading service to a specific group of customers. Additional job functions will include but not limited to: track and trace, load entry, and appointment scheduling while ensuring a low error ratio and guarantee that all relevant information is entered correctly to receive payment on freight moved.
